Dear Rein,

It is a wee bit of a chore
To remember any more
About the good old days
When fast living was “our ways”.

Do we go back
To the BH “weg”
When we met first
Working on our endless thirst?

During nightly parties
Lots of fun and many stories,
But now my old friend
Our wild life is grinding to an end.

We are now proper and mature
And look at life as an interesting “toer”
We are supposed to know it all
And old pieps should not have “lol”.

Well, that is not my advice
Because we achieved the final price
Great days to enjoy
And to play , oh boy,
We no longer have a job
So from the government we “rob”.

So all I can say
To TV just say “nee”
Enjoy every minute from now
With your very lovely “vrouw”
Want zelfs als een oude “fart”
Are you still part
Of a very active group
Which parties on without a real “beroep”
There is still so much to do
In the “ouwe lullen” zoo
Start with a good party today
With our blessing from across the “zee”

On September 13 we will raise our glass
And will think about you and your dear “Sas”,
Salute our friendship and your birthday
